MEET KATHERINE ROUSE
I am Katherine, in my late 20's & a Yorkshire based wedding & social photographer, operating throughout the north.
Putting customer service & attention to detail at the heart of everything I do I produce stunning images that are the essence of my service, “making today's moments, tomorrow's memories”
I offer both a relaxed and professional service to all of my clients giving a natural memoir of the events, making wedding albums that are a family heirloom & cherished for decades to come.
Photography was never a planned career for me I suppose you could say I just fell into it, photography has always been my passion in life I have a need to capture memories that I am able to cherish.
Coming from a dedicated customer service environment my passion to please people helped me take the plunge and photography become my new life & career.
As far back as I can remember I have always had a camera in my hand, whether that be at a family parties, nights out with friends, even pictures of things my parents called daft or a waste of film, shoes piled up at the door, snow on the trees in the garden & the rolls of film I used up trying to get a good picture of the Grey Squirrels in the garden at home.
The dawning moment came a few days after a friend's wedding her professional photographer had inspired me. Don't get me wrong that wasn't when I decided to pick up a camera and start taking snap shots & charging people for them, but after her wedding I just wanted to take more pictures.
I can honestly say that on my first wedding I was more concerned & worried than the wonderful bride & groom, but since that day I have never looked back. I have completed numerous weddings, portraits & covered various events since that first wedding and each time I have butterflies in my stomach, but I can honestly say that the proud feeling I get after each completed assignment makes it all worth while. I have made lots of new friends since the change in my career & I hope that this continues.
I have lots of passions in my life, things that help relax me and inspire me to move forward, I truly love sport, watching though, not playing! Travelling, visiting the theatre, eating out or having a relaxing drink with friends, shopping & the immense support I have received from my family & friends who have been forced to say "cheese" on so may occasions.
I can honestly say that wedding photography has to be my favourite part of the business, I love the whole buzz of a wedding the tears, smile and the love! I love the emotion of my job the excitement and nerves and feel great pride and take pleasure in capturing amazing images for each of my clients.
